From wired to wireless: 5G makes it possible. The combination of enormous capacity, extremely high reliability and ultra-low delay makes 5G more than just a new form of connectivity. It is the first wireless network that offers a fully-fledged alternative to a wired network. This is how 5G makes the ‘wireless factory’ possible. A whole new foundation for production environments with a flexible production floor, where machines and people are connected.
KPN is happy to introduce everyone to 5G in the HTSC visitor centre on the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven, where together with the High Tech Software Cluster partners they are realising new applications with 5G for the Dutch manufacturing industry. As part of the Vanderlande Innovation Programme, Vanderlande together with High Tech Software Cluster member KPN investigated the potential value and current state-of-the-art of 5G networks.
